The Zattoo and waipu.tv apps bring the television program to all devices. This allows users to watch their favorite program on the go, for example on a smartphone or tablet. All you need is the app and an internet connection.
The content comes from free TV. Nevertheless, the providers let their service cost something. The internet TV provider waipu.tv is now even increasing the prices for its “Comfort” package. In future, it will cost 5.99 instead of 4.99 euros per month. But customers also get twice as much storage space for programs that they want to record. Instead of 25 hours, 50 hours are now available. With the “Comfort” package from waipu.tv, users can receive 116 channels over the Internet.
The provider justifies the moderate price increase by adding a lot of new content and functions over time. The alternative to higher subscription fees would be funding through additional advertising. Most customers would probably not be satisfied with that either.
Similar to Netflix and Amazon Prime, users can cancel their waipu.tv subscription on a monthly basis. Users of a “Comfort” package who do not agree to the price increase should take the opportunity to cancel. Otherwise, the fee will automatically increase by 1 euro in the next month.
Waipu.tv also offers a free basic package with 70 channels that can be received on up to two devices in SD quality. The Premium tariff is the only one that also offers channels in HD quality.
