Trump gets bullshit: tweets drop stock price, vaccine …

While he was in the White House looking out for his own contamination, a post in which US President Donald Trump wrote that Covid-19 is less deadly than the flu was removed by Facebook. Stock prices fell after he subsequently announced via Twitter that he would stop negotiations about support measures. He was targeted by his Democratic rival Joe Biden, who said he would not want to debate him if he was still infected. And the corona vaccine Trump promised before the election could take longer.

After his release from hospital Monday evening, stock prices on Wall Street had risen. In his video message on his return, he again promised that a vaccine against corona will be available soon. And the next day, it was sounded “extremely well” with Donald Trump, who said he was ready for his debate with Biden on October 15.

But a controversial tweet and Facebook post on Tuesday afternoon marked the start of a series of losers for the president. He wrote that the flu season is coming. “Many people die from the flu every year, sometimes as many as 100,000, despite the vaccine. Are we going to close our country? No, we learned to live with it, just as we learn to live with Covid, much less deadly in most populations !!! ” Twitter hid the tweet behind a warning about misleading information, Facebook even deleted its post. More than 210,000 Americans have died of Covid-19, while the flu usually kills between 22,000 and 64,000 people every year.

Moments later, the president announced through social media that he had stopped negotiations with Democrats about aid measures “until after the election”. “Immediately after I win, we will pass a major stimulus bill targeting hardworking Americans and small businesses.” According to Trump, Nancy Pelosi wanted to give too much money to badly run Democratic states.

While the president wrote in the same tweet that “the stock market is at an all-time high,” Wall Street promptly fell about 2 percent.

And then there was the news that the FDA, the regulator of the US government, is imposing stricter safety guidelines for pharmaceutical companies on the approval of a corona vaccine. That makes it unlikely that there will be a vaccine for the Nov. 3 presidential election as Trump promised unless the government openly goes against the FDA.

Trump talked about a political “hit jobAnd attempted to shift focus with dozens of tweets and retweets about Russiagate and Democrats espionage on his 2016 campaign.
