“Train Sabotage Suspected in Kannur Railway Station Fire: CCTV Footage Reveals Clues”

Kannur: The CCTV footage becomes crucial in the incident where the train bogie caught fire at the Kannur railway station. The CCTV footage of Bharat Petroleum opposite the railway station has now come out.

The footage shows a man walking through the same spot where the train caught fire with a cane in his hand. But it is not clear who is walking. Although the person in the scene cannot be identified, it is clear from the CCTV footage that a person was present at the time of the fire. The police also do not rule out the possibility that the fire was started by pouring some liquid.

The bogie of Alappuzha – Kannur Executive Express was burnt. The fire broke out around 1:30 am. Railways suspects the possibility of sabotage.

This is the train that reached Kannur from Alappuzha at 11 pm last night. The bogie which was parked in the eighth yard near the third platform was burnt. No one was on the train when the incident took place. So a big accident was avoided.

The fire was detected a little late as the incident was not on a train service track. The fire was first seen by the railway staff. Before the fire spread to other bogies, the fire brigade reached and extinguished the fire completely. An investigation is underway to determine whether it was a short circuit or someone set fire to the train. It will be clarified only after the inspection of the forensic team.
