NEW YORK — There’s good news for theater lovers.
This is because on Monday the fourteenth edition of Semana Off-Broadway o NYC Off-Broadway Week which offers two-for-one tickets to enjoy 26 shows, including three works in Spanish.
“For 14 years, NYC-Off Broadway Week has invited New Yorkers, Hispanics and visitors alike to experience the world of theater in a more intimate setting with unparalleled stories, everyone’s favorites, and often groundbreaking plays,” said Fred Dixon, President and CEO of NYC & Company. “We are delighted to continue our partnership with The Off-Broadway League with a list of 26 incredible productions for everyone to enjoy”.
The list of shows participating in the Off-Broadway Week that runs until March 5, includes three works from the Spanish Repertoire: The Swallow, Eva Luna and The Brief y Wonderful Life of Oscar Wao:

This year’s program is packed with stellar performances: actress Katie Holmes will make her stage comeback with The Wanderers; Anthony Rapp, of RENTstars in a solo show backed by a five-piece rock band, sharing his true story on Anthony Rapp’s Without You; David Blaine is the producer of the limited-capacity Off-Broadway show, Asi Wind’s Inner Circle; Constance Shulman, of Orange Is The New Blackstars The Best We Could y Michelle Wilsona Tony nominee, is the main star in The Coast Starlight.

Visitors can go to nycgo.com/off-broadway-week where you will find useful tools, such as a filter to classify the productions by: Type of show (musical, play, performance); Genre (comedy, drama, suitable for children, magic); Public (family friendly, adults only); and the neighborhood.
Since its launch in 2009, more than 600 Off-Broadway productions have participated in the NYC Off-Broadway Week. The program has also generated more than $4 million in revenue through sales; more than 100,000 tickets have been sold.
New York City’s tourism industry continues to rebound with 56.4 million travelers visiting the five boroughs in 2022, an increase of 71.4% over 2021 (47.4 million domestic and 8.9 million international). This represents the return of 85% of the city’s record number of visits in 2019. The city continues with the firm intention of attracting 61.7 million visitors in 2023.
