Half an hour after his father returned to the house, both parents started looking for him. “His father broke down the door of an outhouse when he didn’t get a response from inside. He found Mr. Kingston dead with a large head injury. There was a weapon next to him,” investigator Kate Skerrett explained to the Express.

An autopsy confirmed a gunshot wound to the head, with police categorically ruling out third-party involvement in Thomas Kingston’s death.
