At that time, the victim’s motorbike and the Indonesian Navy’s car were traveling from the opposite direction.

The Navy personnel asked the victim to stop and move the vehicle aside. After that, there was a misunderstanding that led to acts of persecution.

“If it has been proven to have violated, there is not a single guilty member of the Indonesian Navy who has escaped the law. This matter needs to be followed up,” said TNI First Admiral Julius, Tuesday (11/1/2022).

The incident occurred on Sunday (9/1) around 17:40 WIB. Residents broke up the commotion.

This incident was caught on local cameras and the video viral of social media (medsos).

As a result of the assault, the victim suffered bruises on the right temple.

The Indonesian Navy has stated that it is committed to taking action against soldiers who are proven to have violated the law.

Major B Detained by POM TNI AL

Laksma Julius said that the Indonesian Navy officer had been detained at the POM TNI AL Headquarters Lantamal III Jakarta since Monday (10/1) yesterday. Investigations related to the case of assault by Major B are still ongoing.

The Chief of Naval Staff (KSAL) Admiral TNI Yudo Margono has also emphasized that no soldier will escape the law if he is proven to have committed a crime. This has become a commitment from TNI institutions starting from the TNI Commander and subordinates that the wrong soldiers will be prosecuted.

In connection with this incident, the Pamulang Police Office was raided by dozens driver ojol.
