Cactus care

Cactus plant care is relatively simple but does not mean it is maintenance free. Most cacti and other succulents require similar general care, although there are exceptions to some of the rules.

Both indoors and outdoors, a cactus garden needs plenty of sun. For that, dry the cactus in direct sunlight every day for at least 6 hours.

For watering, cacti do not need a lot of water. This drought-resistant plant is prone to root rot, so allow the soil to dry out between drinks.

If a cactus garden is outdoors, nature will fulfill its watering needs in the form of rain most of the year, but if not, you should water the plants thoroughly at least once a week during the summer.

Cacti and other succulents do not need large amounts of fertilizer, just give a little fertilizer for your cactus plants, so they can grow beautiful and fertile.
