This is Iran’s reply, after Trump’s harsh threat to “Don’t F … With Us” page all

TEHERAN, KOMPAS.com – A senior office Iran give response on threat kasar “If you f*ck around with us” dari Presiden Donald Trump to Islamic Republic, which the United States has pressured with economic restrictions and threats military.

In an interview with conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh on Friday (9/10/2020), Trump made the harsh words to the Iranian government. Newsweek on Friday (9/10/2020).

Trump accuses them of being a militant group, of targeting attacks on interests AS in the Middle East and secretly chasing weapons nuclear.

“If you mess with us, if you do something bad to us, we will do things that have never been done to you,” threatens the Covid-19 positive Trump, who is arguing with Tehran.

Alireza Miryousefi, spokesman for Iran’s permanent mission for PBB, replied shortly after, and dismissed the US leader’s words as the interests of the 2020 US presidential election.

“Trump’s efforts to present himself as a tough man should come as no surprise as the presidential election in America draws near,” Miryousefi told Newsweek.

He said Iran and its people would not back down in the face of Trump, whether against his harsh threats, the decision to multiply sanctions choking off Iran’s financial sector, or military action, such as the January assassination of Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani in Iraq.

“The US is launching economic war which is cruel and illegal, similar to economic terrorism, against the Iranian people, “Miryousefi said.

“The US also cowardly killed General Suleimani, a hero in the fight against Daesh and other terrorists, while he was an official guest of the Iraqi government on a peace mission,” he continued.

“The Iranian people have proven resilient and are not intimidated by inappropriate, irresponsible and empty rhetoric,” he added.

Miryousefi then quoted a statement by Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, “Never threaten the Iranian people!”

Zarif spoke these words during tough negotiations in 2015 that resulted in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, better known as the Iran nuclear deal.

The agreement, which was ratified by the US and Iran, as well as China, France, Germany, Russia and Britain, lifted international sanctions against Iran in exchange for the Iranian state curbing its nuclear production.

It was precisely under Trump that Washington withdrew from the nuclear deal in May 2018. Since then the US has continued to enact measures designed to isolate Iran’s economy, undermine its trade relations and plunge its currency.

The latest and widespread sanctions hit Iran’s major banks in the wake of what the US itself considers the end of the Iran deal, as a result of a formal request to the UN by the Trump administration.

Neither the UN nor other parties to the nuclear deal have acknowledged the US decision, but Iran still feels the blow.

“In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the US regime wants to blow up our remaining channel to pay for food and medicine,” Zarif said on Twitter on Thursday.

“Iran WILL survive this latest atrocity,” he argued.

“But conspiring to starve the population is a crime against humanity. The perpetrators and drivers who block our finances WILL face justice,” he continued.

However, the damage done to Iran has been a source of pride for the Trump administration.

He considers Iran “the world’s largest sponsor of terrorism.” Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo praised the president’s “real progress” in facing Tehran since taking office in 2017.

“We have denied tens of billions of dollars in wealth to terrorists who threaten Israel and threaten Europe and the United States,” Pompeo told radio host Larry O’Connor in an interview on Friday.

The top US diplomat said there was still “more work to be done”.

“We aim to continue and we hope that the next 4 years will yield very good results,” said Pompeo.

There are also some things that the US will launch, among them is the increase in security for the Middle East, the people of Israel, and areas that are not very stable, so that the people of the United States do not pose a threat as well.

The Trump administration’s time is also marked by rising tensions in the Persian Gulf and the Hormuz Strait, the world’s most important maritime oil connection point.

The White House has pledged to bring Iranian trade to zero, a policy point that has prompted Iranian threats to shut down important trade routes.

But Iran continues to seek partners, including Venezuela, which is blacklisted by the US.
