To finance their festive and carefree life, young people from the region transported migrants to a Dutch port to cross the Channel on insecure boats. This has earned them a summer – at least – in prison. Some have just come out.

This is a nice net that the federal police carried out last June, in collaboration with the local police forces and after a long surveillance. Mirsad (27) and Mehdi (29) from Grâce-Hollogne, Samuel (29) and Charlotte (27) from Seraing, Ilhan (35) from Ans and Jonathan (28) from Saint-Nicolas were part of a band that loved party in the region, especially in the cafes of Jemeppe and Seraing, owned by two of them.
Via Mirsad, very close to Charlotte, they would have found a way to make “easy money” to make ends meet. The vein led all these young people to prison, including the young woman, yet a teacher! Some have just regained their freedom in the indictment chamber.
