The representative of the Labor Party (PT) in the municipality of Cordoba, Veracruz, Grodetz Ríos Andrade, it was shot dead today afternoon.
The events occurred on San Lázaro street in the Santa Leticia neighborhood of the Fortín de las Flores municipality, an area that is part of the violent Córdoba region.
The politician and professor at the High School and Bachelor of Arts and Crafts (Esbao), was traveling aboard his Jeep truck when he was attacked by armed men.
Red Cross paramedics came to the site, but could not do anything for the politician.
Ríos had the representation of Morena, PT and Verde Ecologista and carried out a legal fight for the allocation of majority to the coalition in the Town hall of Córdoba.
