There is a PTM Announcement, Gibran Parks the Car in Front of the School

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka parked his official car in front of SMK Batik 2 Surakarta, Saturday (21/8) night. The school, which is located in Pajang Village, Laweyan District, is rumored to be holding Face-to-face Learning (PTM) on Monday (23/8) tomorrow. The announcement of PTM is said to have been distributed to parents of students.

When confirmed, Gibran did not answer firmly his purpose of leaving the car in front of the entrance to SMK Batik 2.

“It is okay to, “he said.

According to information, SMK Batik 2 Surakarta plans to hold a Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) simulation to test the readiness of their internet network. The school has even circulated a letter of notification to parents regarding the implementation of the AKM simulation.

Gibran regretted that SMK Batik 2 Surakarta did not coordinate with the Solo City Government before notifying the students’ parents.

“The school has distributed letters to parents of students. Just ask the principal if there is a permit. Have you been to the Covid-19 Task Force,” he said.

According to Gibran, the mistake made by SMK Batik 2 Surakarta is fatal considering that there are still many students in Solo who have not received the vaccine. Moreover, Solo is still included in PPKM Level 4 which is not yet allowed to hold PTM.

“We still have 70,000 students who have not been vaccinated. Why are PTMs required to be patient first,” he said.

Currently, Gibran’s official car is still in front of the entrance of SMK Batik 2 Surakarta. A number of Linmas members from Pajang Village and Satpol-PP guard the car with the police number AD 1 A. Gibran did not answer with certainty when the car will be taken.

“It’s not a matter of taking it or not taking it. But the problem is whether it’s finished or not,” he said.

Gibran has several times left the car at the location where the offense was committed. Previously, he left his official car at the Cemoro Kembar Public Cemetery (TPU) after the destruction of 12 Christian graves there.

He also once left his official car at the Gajahan Sub-District Office after a number of Linmas Kelurahan officers made extortion against hundreds of businessmen.

When confirmed, the Deputy Principal for Student Affairs at SMKK Batik 2 Surakarta, Erwin Ahmad Anasalis, admitted that he invited a number of students to school on Monday (23/8) to take part in the AKM simulation.

“In the circular, the plan was for a simulation, but it has been cancelled,” he said.

However, he denied that his party held PTM secretly.

“From the beginning, there was no PTM,” he said.

He also admitted that he had not coordinated with the Solo City Government and the Covid-19 Handling Task Force regarding the implementation of the simulation.

“For that (coordination), I don’t,” he said.

Contacted separately, the Secretary of the Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) of Central Java Province, Suyanta explained that his party had indeed made a circular to SMA/SMK in Central Java to hold AKM simulations on August 23-25. The directive is in line with a circular from the Ministry of Education so that each school conducts AKM simulations.

“In the Ministry’s Circulation (Cultural Education, Research and Technology) students can optionally attend or not,” he said.

Initially, the Central Java Province Disdikbud still gave schools the option to present students during the AKM simulation. In addition to following the directives of the Ministry of Education and Technology,

The Disdikbud of Central Java Province considered it safe if the simulation was held face-to-face. Considering the simulation was held for 3 days.

“Actually, the assessment is 45 students. For example, divided by 3 days, it means that there are only 15 students per day. It’s a small number,” he said.

However, this option was canceled after Gibran left his car in front of SMK Batik 2 Surakarta.

Jebule Mr. Wali is sad (it turns out that Mr. Wali is angry),” he said.

“If it is carried out, it will be considered PTM, it’s an ndrawasi (danger). Never mind that the simulation doesn’t even invite students,” he said.

He has also communicated with the Head of the Regional VII Disdikbud Branch of Central Java Province to immediately coordinate with the principals of SMA/SMK schools in Solo to cancel the face-to-face simulation.

“We made the letter last night. But we distributed it this morning,” he said.
