Rui Portugal, until now responsible for the crisis office for covid-19 in the Lisbon region, is the new deputy director-general of Health. Health Delegate in Lisbon, had recently been appointed to lead the strategy against the virus in Greater Lisbon when the number of new infections started to increase.
He argues that the important thing is not to add cases but to break the chains of transmission and, for that, to ensure that people infected or with high-risk contacts strictly comply with the 14-day prophylactic isolation.
