First of all, allow me to wish you and all of the 2stv agents a happy birthday for your seventeen (17) years of existence.
But by reading me, you easily understand that I am writing to you beyond this commemoration.
Looking on the internet, an extract of your intervention during the birthday party, I heard bewildered and dumbfounded your words affirming bluntly that for 3 years, you hosted Youssou (Ndour) the Biagui city of Yoff.
I am Youssou’s best friend, and moreover bears the name of one of his children. No need to explain my proximity but this is not the subject of my remarks. El Hadj, I question you about your words because not only, in this house and not in an apartment like you make up, lived Youssou, Feu Habib and Me Abdoulaye Mané dit Saint Louis. By telling this lie because this is the substance, and knowing that Youssou would not answer you, you let yourself go from lies to lies.
El hadj, as I wrote above, I shared the house with Youssou, Habib and Abdou Sagna and you never had to pay us any rent. Never, was it an hour, you had to host us. If that were the case, you would not have had the greatness, nor the courtesy not to rehash it all day long so “Amo Soutoureu”.
El hadj, what a fly also stung you to give you a paternity of production for “Set” and “Jamm” not even in dreams as my young children would say. Let me remind you dearest El Hajj that the only time we worked in co-production was the live album “Biir Sorano”. Beyond this episode, your exclusive interaction with Youssou was strictly limited to the duplication of cassettes and the rental of a recording studio and this was paid to the nearest penny. “Yalla Deugue la Beugeu”
El hadj, 69 years old as you say, you should beware of certain postures or statements that do not honor you. If the objective of telling such untruths lies in your wish to try to “dangle” things from the artists, know that it is a waste of time, because even if, all of us, you recognize a certain merit, our compatriots know also who is Youssou NDOUR and who is El Hadj NDIAYE. Know why keep it very expensive and everyone would be better off.
Wanting to set up a studio, as you say during your birthday party, El Haj, no need to invent skills to seduce. I will repeat to you the words of President Abdou Diouf who said this “Kou beug nôdeu, DJaak Dja gui”.
Life is not made of adversity, El Haj, it is certainly random but I remember above all that it is purity. The moments we are all experiencing right now keep reminding us of this.
