The Rolling Stones are back! It was the big news in the world of Rock this last Friday: the Stones return with a new album composed of 100% original pieces, a first in 18 years. This time the album is called “Hackney Diamonds”and to celebrate, the Stones decided to offer a small concert to their many New York fans, in the club Racket NYC, moments before the official release of the album. A concert with quite a few surprises, including the appearance on stage of Lady Gaga alongside the group!
The Rolling Stones presented four of the twelve titles contained on “Hackney Diamonds”. So they sang the titles “Angry”, “Whole Wide World”, “Bite My Head Off” et “Sweet Sounds of Heaven”. In front of the many celebrities present for this exceptional show (Daniel Craig, Chris Rock, Mary-Kate Olsen, Trevor Noah, Jimmy Fallon, Rachel Weisz, Elvis Costello and even Christy Turlington), they also sang their greatest hits like “Tumbling Dice”, “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” ou encore “Shattered”.
Arriving by surprise, Lady Gaga, dressed in a red and black sequinned jumpsuit and wearing bangs, in the purest tradition of 70s rock, joined Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones for a dazzling duet that was immediately imposing “Sweet Sounds of Heaven” as one of the flagship tracks from the English rockers’ new album.
