The premieres of Black Widow and the new West Side Story are canceled, Hollywood is waiting

The films Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Eternals will also have their premiere postponed deep into 2021. Cinemas are thus plagued by one disaster after another, and this year’s sales are expected to fall sharply. According to the first estimates from America, sales there will fall by 70, but maybe by as much as 80%.

Black Widow was scheduled to premiere on November 6, but many cinemas in the United States remain closed. Although cinemas work in the Czech Republic, attendance is not the best. After Christopher Nolan’s Tenet failed commercially, fears grew. Black Widow is currently set to premiere on May 7, 2021.

Death on the Nile will not premiere in October, as expected, but on December 18, 2020 (unless that changes again). It is a classic detective story inspired by Agatha Christie’s book, more for conservative viewers.

Steven Spielberg has been preparing a new version of the legendary musical West Side Story for years and will probably be “Oscar material”. However, he will not make this year’s awards, because after the changes he will not enter theaters until December 2021. The comic film Eternals will enter theaters in November 2021 instead of February 2021. Richard Madden or Kumail Nanjiani will play in the film and Angelina Jolie will return after a long time.

The Deep Water thriller with Ben Affleck and Anna de Armas is moving from November 2020 to August 2021.
