The number of those who left Kaliningrad for Ukraine increased by 92.72%, for Kazakhstan – 2.5 times – Kaliningrad News

According to the ten-month results of 2022, most people left the region for Kazakhstan (2,392 people), Uzbekistan (891 people) and Ukraine (821 people). This is demonstrated by the data from Kaliningradstat, published on Tuesday 20 December.

At the same time, if last year 3,623 people from Kazakhstan arrived in the region, this year – 3,003 people, then the number of those who left has changed many times: for the whole of 2021, 901 people left the region of Kaliningrad for Kazakhstan and only in 10 months of this year already 2 392 people.

The number of people who have left for Uzbekistan has nearly doubled, from 471 last year to 891 this year.

The number of those who left for Ukraine has almost doubled in the course of the year: from 426 last year to 821 this year. Far fewer people from Ukraine have entered Russia than in the past: 649 against 902.

For the first time since 2017, more people from Germany have come to the Kaliningrad region than have left. The increase in migration was 156 people. According to the 2022 ten-month results, most people came to the region from Kazakhstan (3,003 people), Kyrgyzstan (982 people) and Uzbekistan (787 people).

From January 2012 to October 2022, 93,105 people arrived in the Kaliningrad region from other countries, 43,318 people left the region. In nearly eleven years, the region’s population has increased by 49,787 due to international migration.
