Spotify, the most popular streaming audio platform, today announced the most listened to songs and artists of 2019. This year, urban music in Spanish has triumphed among Spanish users.
Anuel AA has been the most listened artist in Spain in 2019. Latin urban music singers take first place in our country, because behind Anuel AA are Ozuna, Bad Bunny and J Balvin. And as for Spanish artists, Rosalía is still the favorite. In July, the artist achieved one of her most important achievements of the year: she became the most listened to Spanish singer worldwide on Spotify. Behind her, Aitana and Lola Indigo are the most successful female voices in Spain in the world.
If we talk about songs, Spanish users have opted this year for local music. “Contando Lunares”, by Don Patricio with Cruz Cafuné, is ranked number one. The theme of the artist revelation of the year, already has more than 130 million listeners on the platform.
