Amr Al-Janaini, head of the five-year committee in charge of managing the Football Association, spoke about the position of sports activity in Egypt.
Amr Al-Janaini said: “So far, no official decision has been taken regarding the fate of sports competitions in Egypt.”
He added in his statements with MBC Egypt, “It is a 100% state decision, and so far the decision is not known and was not taken.”
“If the state decides to resume the league, we are fully prepared for that.”
He stressed, “And if you decide to cancel the competition, we are also ready and set scenarios for this matter. Everyone’s desire is to resume the league unless conditions allow this to happen.”
He revealed, “In the event of a league resumption, the matches will not be on all stadiums and in all cities, but rather in specific stadiums and specific cities with specific specifications because we aim to reduce the movement.”
Al-Janaini touched on the case of Mahmoud Saad, coach of the Egyptian Football Association, after he was infected with Corona virus.
Al-Janaini pointed out, “There are no injuries inside the Football Association, we have taken all measures and we wish recovery for Mahmoud Saad.”
He continued his speech by saying: “Mahmoud Saad, his condition is very very comfortable and improving on a daily basis.”
“I thank him for his efforts throughout the past period in the field of athletes returning from abroad. He made a great effort that caused him exhaustion and fatigue.”
