The Medical Director of Bcharre Governmental Hospital, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Maqdisi, issued a statement explaining the circumstances of an audio recording in which his name was mentioned, during which the medical examination that was conducted on the body of the deceased Haitham Touq, following the latter’s death as a result of the Qurna Al-Souda incident two days ago, was discussed.
Al-Maqdisi clarified that he has nothing to do with any analysis or audio recording, calling on the concerned authorities to reveal the identity of the person who recorded that audio clip, during which he claimed that the information was taken from him, and he said: “That recording was accompanied by lack of professionalism and omission of some medical matters And it has spread on all sites like wildfire with all its inaccuracies and lies, and accordingly, I received a lot of calls from many quarters, including a female media person, asking for an explanation about what was reported from me, which made me compelled to clarify the confusion publicly and clearly within a purely medical approach. “.
Al-Maqdisi pointed out that he has been practicing the profession in Bsharri since 2005, and added: “All the people of the region know me well, and I know them and consider myself part of them.”
And he added, “Summoning a second forensic doctor to examine the body and convince him to re-perform an x-ray after the examination was completed, proved categorically the validity of what I had requested from the position of medical responsibility only.”
He continued: “I am interested in clarifying that this approach was purely medical and from a position of responsibility, and there are no intentions or interpretations, and this has nothing to do with the course of the investigation or the party involved in the Black Qurna crime, which we leave to the judiciary and the security services to uncover as quickly as possible.”
And he concluded: “I am interested in repeating and stressing that this issue is only medical, and I hope that it will be put in its correct framework and not be exploited to weave hypotheses and lies about how the crime occurred or mislead the investigation in a certain direction, and all I meant in the interview that I conducted during the day is that the data that was reached It changes the view of the mechanism adopted to carry out the crime only without any other analyzes or explanations.
