Apple’s iPad remains at the head of the market, alone accounting for 37% of international sales.
According to figures reported by the company Counterpoint, the iPad remains the best-selling tablet worldwide in the first quarter of 2021.

In a market that has generally experienced a strong slowdown, the iPad offers itself the luxury of progress. The first quarter of 2021 is also an opportunity to see a market jump of 53% compared to the same period last year, the iPad taking 37% market share against 30% in 2020.
In second position, it is the tablets of Samsung which settle with 20% of market share.
The situation is partly explained by the abandonment or virtual abandonment of the sector by several brands: many brands have not renewed their ranges of tablets for 2 years following a collapse of the market.
Still, it is the entry-level iPad which represents 56% of iPads sold, followed by the iPad Air 4 with 19% and iPad Pro with 18%.
