KOMPAS.com – Liverpool coach, Juergen Klopp, does not deny that many parties are linking the Reds with new players ahead of the transfer market.

However, Klopp insisted he did not want to waste a lot of money in difficult times due to a pandemic like today.

The German-born coach didn’t want to spend a lot just to make Liverpool star-studded.

Instead, Klopp wants to brush up on what Liverpool have from their academy.

He frankly will maximize young players both in the main squad and at the lower levels.

For example, Klopp did not seem to care about Chelsea being able to recruit Timo Werner.

The Japanese national player was bought by Liverpool from Red Bull Salzburg at a price of 7.25 million pounds.

“We want to strengthen this already strong squad. The problem is, with a strong team, how to make it even stronger in the transfer market?” he asked.

“We have two or three players who can develop better,” he explained.

The former Borussia Dortmund coach insists Liverpool are still ready with the existing squad to look to the future.

“We don’t have 11 main players, this team has 16 or 17 main players, they can all play at the same level,” Klopp explained.
