The first cohort of policy makers and decision-makers in training

The initiative has set itself as a major objective the achievement of ten targets, through the implementation of a joint program structured in three components, the first of which relates to the implementation of a series of pan-African training courses. These targets include, among other things, the training of one (1) million young people outside of school and in the informal sector by 2030, the setting up of a roster of nearly 1000 experts / master trainers capable of to meet the technical support needs of African countries in the field.

TVET managers and policy makers trained, thanks to this pan-African initiative, will have the task of advocating for the digital transformation of TVET and the strengthening of the use of ICT and digital in the sector. . They will be best equipped to coordinate the work of developing policies and strategies integrating teaching and learning through ICT and digital in the TVET sector at national and regional level.

In addition, this pan-African initiative is an integral part of the work plan of the CESA TVET group institutionalized by the African Union with UNESCO as co-lead. The latter works in synergy in this program with the African Union, the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP) of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, the African Development Bank (AfDB), the African Union Development Agency of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (AUDA-NEPAD) andOrganisation iinternational the Francophonie (OIF), through its Institute for Education and Training (IFEF).
