As reported by Times of Israel, this incident occurred on February 22, 1986. That day, gunshots were heard around the Ein Kerem neighborhood of Jerusalem, precisely on a winter night that year. The voice prompted a resident to call the police. Once there, an officer named Avi Samuel entered the two-story building and found a gruesome sight.
Nissim Cohen, 44, and his wife, Leah, 40, were brutally murdered in their bed. Judging by the wounds, they had been shot at close range.
While upstairs, Samuel finds two women who have died. They are Cohen’s daughters, Anat (19) and Shira (18). The perpetrator was a 14-year-old teenager, the son of Cohen and Leah. He killed his family with his father’s M-16 rifle.
