After Guingamp yesterday, another club has just announced that it is suspending its activities within its pro group after the discovery of a case of COVID-19. The club in question is FC Annecy, resident of National 1 for the 2020-2021 season. In fact, the club explained that it would suspend all its activities until further notice for the pro group following a case of COVID-19 among the workforce of Stade Nyonnais. The club wrote “Following the discovery today of a positive case (Covid 19) among the staff of Stade Nyonnais FC, opponent of the Reds in a friendly match this Saturday July 25, FC ANNECY has decided preventively to suspend the activities of the N1 group until further notice. All players and staff members are therefore placed in isolation for 14 days and will be tested soon. Consequently, the friendly match against Le Puy scheduled for Friday 31st July at 5 p.m. in Annecy-le-Vieux is therefore canceled. FC ANNECY regrets this situation but the health of its licensees and their relatives is a priority, the club must immediately put in place procedures and protocols adapted to this situation.” One of the first consequences of this stoppage that the match scheduled against Le Puy Foot on Friday is canceled, as announced by Le Puy.
