In eastern DR Congo, militants from the Alliance of Democratic Forces terrorist group killed at least 17 people, reported Aktuality news portal on Tuesday 3 August.
“The attack was carried out on August 2 on the Zunguluka village in Irumu district of Ituri province. According to preliminary estimates, 17 people were killed, including two children,” said Celestine Mbalangu, secretary of the neighboring community.
The spokesman for the armed forces in Ituri, Lieutenant Jules Ngongo, assured that the army units are pursuing the militants.
