Equestrian athlete Lorna Brook was taken to hospital by helicopter after being badly injured during a race in Taunton. She was transported by helicopter.
Brooke falls from her horse Orchestrated, which was trained in her mother Susan Brooke’s stable. The jockey receives first aid on the track and therefore the program of the race is delayed by one hour. The horse was unharmed after the accident.
“The young woman was placed in the intensive care unit. Her condition is serious but stable. Lorna Brook is conscious and will undergo tests due to suspicion of a spinal cord injury, the hospital announced.
