On Friday, the virus-related disease Covid-19 claimed 14 lives in Lithuania and five in Estonia.
Lithuania
Since the start of the pandemic, 478,314 people in the country have been diagnosed with coronavirus infection.
A total of 6,825 people have died in Lithuania with Covid-19.
According to the Department of Statistics, the 14 – day cumulative number of infections per 100,000 population in Lithuania has increased to 862.
21,301 people were vaccinated last day. Of these, 2,675 received the first dose of vaccine, 2,435 received the second, and 16,191 received the third.
The proportion of the population who are presumed to have developed immunity is 75.1%, the portal LRT reports on Saturday.
Estonia
A total of 1,815 people died in Estonia with Covid-19. Five of those infected with the Covid-19 virus who died last day were between the ages of 71 and 99.
There are currently 243 patients treated with Covid-19 in hospitals, 202 of whom are severely ill.
The 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population, calculated by the Estonian Department of Health, has fallen to 610.74.
7345 doses of vaccine were injected daily, including the first 753 doses of vaccine. The proportion of the population vaccinated with two doses has reached 59.6%.
