The Taliban killed a translator for the US military as a man drove his sister to celebrate Eid al-Adha.

In Afghanistan, the Taliban cut off the head of local resident Sohail Pardis, who worked as a translator for the American army. The murder took place in front of the man’s sister, writes CNN.

Pardis traveled from Kabul to the neighboring province of Khost to pick up his sister and celebrate Eid al-Adha with her. On the way, the Taliban stopped Pardis’s car, dragged him out of the car and beheaded him.

The murder of the representatives of the Red Crescent movement was confirmed by local residents.

A few days before his death, Pardis complained to his friend and colleague that the Taliban, having learned that he had helped 16 months of the American army, began to threaten him and his family members.

Pardis has a nine-year-old daughter. She is now being cared for by his brother, Najibullah Sahak, who told CNN that his family had to leave their home in Kabul for security reasons. The man fears that he will be the next victim.
