Suspected attack Kurdish center of Paris on the psychiatric ward

The man suspected of yesterday’s attack on a Kurdish cultural center in Paris has been transferred to a police psychiatric ward. This was announced by the French prosecutor. Pre-trial detention has been formally revoked, but the man remains under the supervision of the authorities.

The 69-year-old gunman was transferred on medical orders. He advised the man to be removed from his police cell due to his health. Further details were not disclosed. The man will remain in the psychiatric ward until he is able to appear in court, prosecutors said. The investigation into the attack continues.

Yesterday afternoon the gunman opened fire at the cultural center in the 10th arrondissement in the center of the French capital. Then he entered a barbershop, where he was arrested.

Three Kurds were killed in the attack, three others were injured. One victim is admitted to intensive care. The other two were also hospitalized with serious injuries.

According to the Kurdish Democratic Council (CDK-F), one of the victims killed was the president of a Kurdish women’s movement in France. You are said to have fought in Syria against the Islamic State.
