Suspect hits a man with a hammer and causes him to fall on the railroad tracks in Union Square – Telemundo New York (47)

NEW YORK – Authorities are searching for a suspect who struck a man on the head with a hammer Saturday at a Union Square train station causing the victim to fall on the train tracks, police said.

According to the New York City Police, the incident occurred on Saturday, around 9:08 p.m. m, on the platform of the N and R lines at Union Square station in Manhattan when the alleged attacker began to argue with the victim, a 44-year-old man.

At that point, the report says, the suspect pulled out the hammer and hit the victim on the head causing him to fall onto the train tracks.

The victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
