STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl Will Not Be Featured at Xbox Games Showcase and Other June Conferences, According to GSC Game World Employee

A string of conferences, events and presentations, which in a way replace the traditional June E3 exhibition, is in full swing. But there are still a number of planned and expected games that did not appear either during the PlayStation Showcase, or during the opening of the Summer Game Fest or during the other events. But now we know about one game that we definitely won’t see in the next few dayswhich is nothing less than a post-apocalyptic shooter S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

One of the employees of the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World took to the Steam discussions to answer questions from fans wondering if we’ll see Stalker 2 during the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase. After all, although STALKER 2 is not a traditional exclusive, as Microsoft does not own the brand or the creative studio, and after an as-yet unspecified period of time the game may be released elsewhere than on PC and Xbox, we have seen it mainly during Microsoft events so far. A developer with the nickname Super_PropheT but he declared, that we won’t see anything from GSC at Sunday’s presentation. And not only on her.

Super_PropheT claims that GSC Game World usually does not confirm or deny participation in game events, but this time there was an exception. And so it was announced without further ado that STALKER 2 will miss all June conferences, including the Xbox Games Showcase.

And what is the reason? The creators seem to have prioritized important announcements that are to come in the coming months, and they also intend to gradually inform fans about what they are planning. So it looks like they’ve already decided when they’re going to announce what, and June/June is simply too soon. So fans of trips to the Zone should arm themselves with patience, and certainly not watch the Xbox Games Showcase in the hope of seeing something new from Stalker 2. This seriously does not seem like an attempt to deny something, only to make the reality different in an attempt to surprise.
