Zelensky signed a decree on the abolition of the spring conscription

Almost 100% of the registered reservists have already arrived in their combat military units and today they are performing defense tasks.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky canceled spring call for military service. This is evidenced decree No. 230/2022, published on Monday, April 11, on the official website of the head of state.

According to the document, the previously determined deadlines for the next conscription of Ukrainian citizens for military service in April-June have been cancelled.

In addition, according to the document, military personnel who have served the established terms of urgent military service may be transferred to the reserve “not earlier than the announcement of demobilization in the prescribed manner.”

The changes were made due to the full-scale Russian invasion, in accordance with the presidential decrees of February 24 “On the introduction of martial law in Ukraine”, and “On the extension of martial law in Ukraine” of March 14, as well as the law “On military duty and military service.”

Thus, during the general mobilization in Ukraine, the recruitment of vacancies in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations is carried out at the expense of the entry of conscripts and reservists.

As you know, on February 24 in Ukraine, the call for reservists of the first stage for the duration of the special period started.

On March 15, the mobilization of those liable for military service began, who were not included in the operational reserve of the first stage. According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, almost 100% of the registered reservists have already arrived in their combat military units and today they are performing defense tasks.
