In some places, the rain on Monday – March 22, may be colored by dust coming from the Sahara. This was warned by the NIMH.

It is more probable that there will be colored precipitation over Southern Bulgaria.

The wind is expected to intensify on Monday and more rain and snow will fall.

During the night it will be cloudy and it will continue to rain, in most of Northern Bulgaria the rain will turn into snow. Significant precipitation is expected, and snow cover will form.

In the southeastern regions it will rain, which will turn into wet snow and in places, mainly in the Eastern Rhodopes there will be conditions for ice.

On Monday the precipitation continues; in most areas it will snow, in many places along the Danube – rain and snow, in Eastern Bulgaria – rain.

In the high fields of Western Bulgaria, the Fore-Balkans and the mountainous regions the snow cover will increase even more. The wind will be north-northeast and moderate.

With it, cold air will invade, and in Ludogorie and Dobrudja, as well as along the Stara Planina passes, there will be conditions for blizzards and gusts. Temperatures will be almost non-existent.

The minimum will be between 0 ° and 5 °, and the maximum – between 1 ° and 6 °. In Southeastern Bulgaria the temperatures will be relatively high, the daily temperatures will reach in some places up to 8 °; light thunderstorm activity is possible.

During the night before Tuesday the precipitation will gradually weaken and stop.

Atmospheric pressure will continue to decrease at night. During the day it will start to rise, but will remain lower than the average for March.

Above the mountains it will be cloudy with snowfall. A moderate southeast wind will blow in the high parts of the southwest. In the afternoon, the wind will start to move from north-northeast and will intensify.

With it, cold air will invade and there will be conditions for blizzards and gusts. Maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters around minus 1 °, at 2000 meters – around minus 3 °.

It will be cloudy and rainy over the Black Sea coast. A moderate, temporarily strong wind from the north-northeast will blow. Maximum air temperatures: 7 ° -8 °. The temperature of the sea water is 7 ° -8 °. The sea wave will be about 3 points.

The sun rises in Sofia at 6 hours and 26 minutes and sets at 6 hours and 41 minutes. The length of the day is 12 hours and 15 minutes. The moon sets at 2 hours and 38 minutes and rises at 11 hours and 31 min. Phase: one day after the first quarter.

Meteo Balkans also predicts a very complicated situation in the coming hours.

Meteorologists from there predict strong gusts of wind, significant snowfall over Western Northern and Northeastern Bulgaria – blizzards are not excluded, and thunderstorms over the southeastern part of the country are not excluded.

In many places in the country – in the western regions, in the Fore-Balkans and in the Danube plain, a snow cover will form, which will melt quickly.

If the processes are delayed at night, a snow cover will form. Some weather models allow up to 20-30 centimeters of snow cover.

In the mountains to the southwest and in the Balkan Mountains will accumulate significant amounts of new snow.

Yellow code for dangerous weather has been announced in 24 districts of the country. In some places it is for rain and snow, and in others for strong gusts of wind.
