Seven Police Officers Injured in Villeurbanne during Refusal to Comply Incident

Seven police officers were injured during the night of Friday February 10 to Saturday in what can be described as a refusal to comply. Positioned in Villeurbanne, near Lyon (Rhône-Alpes), the agents carried out road checks. It was around 2:30 a.m. that a motorist, it turned out that the man was driving a stolen vehicle, refused to submit to checks.

According to the website of Progress, to escape, the motorist then hit police vehicles. In a tweet, the prefecture of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region confirmed the arrest of the driver and a person also present in the vehicle. “Prefect Fabienne Buccio supports the national police officers injured last night after a new refusal to comply, putting them in serious danger. She wishes them a speedy recovery. Two individuals were arrested“.

Of the seven injured police officers, three were taken to hospital for minor injuries and for further examinations.
