Santa Pola de-scales the beaches | Radio Elche

From this Friday June 12 Santa Pola opens the beaches of Levante and Gran Playa with lifeguard service and assistance from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.. In addition, Natural beaches have been enabled so that you can enjoy bathing tflush with its cleanliness and adaptation to the allowed capacity.

From 1June 5 the rest of the beaches will be open and operational with lifeguard service from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., signage and surveillance.

Regarding safety measures on the beach, a series of guidelines has been established rules, aimed at guaranteeing social distancing, which will be applied temporarily and will be adapted to the evolution of the de-escalation phases.

As for the capacity, the beaches will be divided into sectors with limited capacity. At each access there will be a sign indicating the sector, capacity, as well as an extract of the rules.

The beaches will be monitored by the Local Police, as well as health agents who will be in charge of informing the COVID recommendations and coordinating the capacity of the beaches, in addition to having the collaboration of Civil Protection.

This same week the Foundation for Environmental and Consumer Education has awarded Santa Pola the distinctive Blue Flag to the beaches: Calas del Este, Varadero, Levante, Tamarit and Calas de Santiago Bernabéu. Also, two Blue Flag centers: CIMAR (Center for Marine Research) and the Salt Museum.

The accessible points of Levante and Gran Playa run by Red Cross will be operational from this Friday, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and the conditions, adapted to the situation of the health crisis, will be the following:

– It is a loan service, not an assisted bathroom

– It will be attended by appointment at tel. 965416936 (Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) – The user who wishes to bathe must come with two companions as assisted bathing is not allowed.

– The capacity will be limited and the duration of the service will be 50 minutes

Standards and Recommendations

1. Respect the capacity of each sector, indicated on the signs for each access, as well as the instructions of the security agents and of course, stay home if you have symptoms and contact the health service at Tel .: 900 300 555.

2. The use of a mask is mandatory on the beach as long as the safety distance of 2 meters cannot be guaranteed.

3. Service start time: 10: 00h. Previous occupation of the beach by umbrellas, chairs and other elements without the presence of the user is prohibited.

4. Out of solidarity with the rest of the users, and so that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy our beach, it is recommended not to stay on the beaches for more than 4 hours a day and to make only one visit a day.

5. Respect the 6 m security corridor. to the water line to ensure rides in both directions and the passage of emergency vehicles. Always circulate on your right. In addition, it is forbidden to stay on the sand in front of the marked channels for water sports.
