Samsung smartphones and tablets will now receive three Android updates

Samsung is changing its policy on recent and future models of the Samsung Galaxy S, Galaxy Note and some Galaxy A smartphones. All these devices will now receive three Android updates instead of two.

The Galaxy Note20 will be rolled out with Android 10. This means that the smartphone will be updated to Android 13.

For the Galaxy A smartphones, it concerns the A71 and the A51 and there are a number of more.

The company’s foldable smartphones and tablets will also receive three Android versions.

With this, Samsung is responding to the increasing criticism of its devices, which are outdated after only two years. This in contrast to iPhones, which are often updated for years to come.
