This year, OnePlus could announce its new smartphones a little earlier than usual. In early March, a rumor called for a launch from April, instead of the usual May for the first series.
On Twitter, Max J., from AllAboutSamsung, delivers a specific date, that of April 15, for the presentation of OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, and perhaps of a OnePlus 8 Lite coming to complete the range.
As the coronavirus continues to spread around the world, it is very likely that OnePlus can only offer an online conference with possibly local showrooms.
According to WinFuture, this date of April 15 is in fact already offset from what OnePlus wanted. The manufacturer was considering an event in March but the pandemic has disrupted the activity and development of smartphones.
As a Chinese manufacturer, OnePlus develops and produces its smartphones in China. Containment measures and idling production tools made it difficult to finalize the new range.
If an official announcement is therefore possible from mid-April, it remains to be seen when smartphones will actually be marketed OnePlus 8. Standard models could arrive quickly while the OnePlus 8 Lite will be launched later.
