Today was a marathon of global smartphone launches, and Realme could not miss the scenery. We’ve known since mid-February that the company’s flagship is ready and that it was announced just a few hours ago – Realme GT 5G.
The smartphone wants to be a flagship of the best buy type and at least at the hardware level it succeeds in this:
- 6.43 inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, 20: 9 aspect ratio, HDR10 + support, 120Hz refresh rate, covers 100% DCI-P3 and 98% NTSC color range, Corning Gorilla Glass protection;
- octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor made on 5nm, Adreno 660 GPU, 8/12 GB LPDDR5 RAM, 128/256 GB UFS 3.1 internal storage, no dedicated microSD card slot;
- Android 11 with realme UI 2.0 interface;
- 5G SA / NSA, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi a / b / g / n / ac / axis, dual-band, Bluetooth 5.2, location via A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, USB Type-C, Hi-Res Audio, Dirac, fingerprint scanner integrated in the display, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos technology, Hi-Res Audio;
- 64 Megapixel main camera, f / 1.8, 1/2 inch, 0.8 µm, PDAF + 8 Megapixel ultrawide sensor at 119 degrees, f / 2.3, 1/4 inch, 1.12 µm + 2 Megapixel Macro sensor;
- 16 Megapixel front camera, 26 mm, f / 2.0, 1 / 3.06 inch, 1.0 µm;
- 4500 mAh battery with fast charging at 65W, dimensions: 158.5 x 73.3x 8.4 mm and weight 186 grams.
Realme GT 5G comes with a few elements worthy of a flagship in the true sense of the word (display, processor, copper steam chamber cooling system, special edition with vegan leather back, etc.), but also includes modest features, sometimes even mediocre (the photo set is the one used by Realme on $ 200 phones, older generation fingerprint scanner, etc.).
Of course, if we refer to prices (valid in China) we have an excellent phone:
- 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage space – $ 432;
- 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage space – $ 510.
