“Interesting things are happening there,” is how the NBS captain, National Guard staff officer Jānis Slaidiņš described the situation on the Belarusian border.
He says that there is always a movement of Belarusian troops on the border, posing a threat to Ukraine. The assessment of Ukrainian intelligence is that the threat exists, but there will be no real invasion in the near future.
Slaidiņš emphasizes that Russian propaganda has been activated, which says that the invasion from Belarus into the territory of Ukraine will take place tomorrow, July 2, at 4.00 in the morning.
He emphasizes that such information is disseminated with one task – to create agitation in order to scatter Ukrainian reserves over the widest possible territory, preventing their redeployment to the Eastern Front.
