Russian Propaganda Narratives and Ukraine’s Response: Adviser to the President’s Office

In recent weeks, the Russian Federation has promoted propaganda narratives about a possible “freezing of the conflict”, “negotiations” and so on. These primitive games do not correspond to reality in any way, says Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine.

“In the last few weeks, four main ideas of Russian propaganda have been fixed: ‘frozen conflict’, ‘negotiations’, ‘sanctions are not working’, ‘splits between the military-political leadership of Ukraine,'” writes Podolyak.

As noted by the adviser to the head of the presidential office, Russia is afraid of military losses and continuous pressure on the defense line. The terrorist state needs the capitulation of Ukraine and the preservation of at least part of the occupied territories. In particular, the enemy is looking for allies in Iran and North Korea due to the depletion of resources, and also wants to provoke an internal political crisis in Ukraine in order not to lose.

“Please stop deliberately playing Russian primitive propaganda games,” Podolyak added.
