Russian advertising agency pays for defaming Pfizer and Astra Zeneca on Facebook

The social network Facebook has removed hundreds of accounts linked to a mysterious advertising agency that is trying to pay influencers on social networks to denigrate the vaccines of Pfizer and Astra Zeneca. This was announced by BTA.

A group of 56 Facebook accounts and 243 Instagram accounts were traced to the Fazze advertising and marketing agency, which works from Russia for an unknown client. The group has used fake accounts to spread misleading allegations that challenge the safety of these vaccines. The accounts were targeted at India, Latin America and, to a lesser extent, the United States, using several social platforms, incl. “Facebook” and “Instagram”.

Russia is actively offering its Sputnik V vaccine abroad, which some analysts say is pursuing geopolitical goals. Representatives of Facebook refused to make assumptions about the possible motivation of this slanderous campaign.
