Russia conducts exercises with intercontinental missiles Yars

Intercontinental ballistic missile PC-24 Yars

During the exercise, at a qualitatively new level, it is planned to work out the issues of intensive maneuvering actions of the Yars mobile missile systems.

An exercise of the Strategic Missile Forces (RVSN) has started in the Sverdlovsk Region with the participation of more than 2,000 military and intercontinental missile systems Yars. About it informs Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on Friday, April 1.

It is indicated that the main goal of the exercise is to improve the practical skills of the command and officers “in the organization and implementation of all types of support.”

“During the exercise, at a qualitatively new level, it is planned to work out the issues of intensive maneuvering actions of the Yars mobile missile systems, their camouflage and counteraction to modern and promising aerial reconnaissance systems in cooperation with formations and units of the Central Military District (CVO),” the report says.

During the exercises, special attention will be paid to new methods of engineering equipment and covering the field positions of missile regiments, the use of modern engineering equipment, drones, as well as the protection and defense of field areas at different times of the day.

Recall that the PC-24 Yars is a Russian solid-propellant intercontinental ballistic missile developed by the Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering. In the future, the Yarsy should replace the PC-18 and RS-20 ICBMs and, together with Topol-M, form the basis of the Strategic Missile Forces.

Earlier, Russian Presidential Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that no one in Russia is even considering the idea of ​​using nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

At the same time, in Russia they called four conditions for the use of nuclear weapons.
