The first participation in the final after 12 years did not bring Dynamo the title. The exciting series with Třinec ended with a loss in the decisive seventh game.
On their way to the final, Pardubice eliminated their regional rival from Hradec Králové in the quarterfinals. They beat Mountfield 4-1 on the legs, with all the battles being evenly matched, ending by one goal each time.
In the semifinals, Dynamo ran into Litvínov. Pardubice advanced to the finals in the fastest possible way when they eliminated Verva in four games. This series also brought an interesting spectacle, in the fourth game the East Bohemians turned the unfavorable development of the game around and decided to advance quickly.
The wild development of the second semi-final series finally put Dynamo in the fight for the Třinec title. The defending champions succeeded in the first match in Pardubice, but Dynamo responded a day later. Also in the east of the country, in the home environment, the Steelers returned to the lead in the series, Pardubice equalized with a win in the fourth match. Dynamo decided the fifth game in the enteria arena with a five-minute penalty in the second period and won a match point. However, the Steelers were able to level the series at home and forced a decisive seventh duel. On Sunday, April 28, 2024, in the seventh final, Třinec won again and thus won the championship title.
In the 2023/24 season, in addition to winning extra-league silverware, Pardubice dominated the regular part of the top competition, reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League and finished second in the famous Spengler Cup.
