“Poland and Romania have been engaged in aerial piracy for a long time”

The head of Roscosmos, former Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Rogozin commented on the detention of the founder of Nexta after the forced landing of a passenger plane in Minsk, as well as the reaction to this event of Poland, Lithuania and other NATO countries. He recalled the events of 2014, when he flew from Moscow to Chisinau in the rank of deputy prime minister.

His plane flew bypassing – through the Black Sea and Turkey to Chisinau. Then Rogozin was the special representative of the President of Russia for Transnistria. A detour route, Rogozin wrote, was needed, “since Ukraine, Poland and Hungary have banned our flight in their airspace along a more direct route.”
“So Polish gentlemen should be consistent and train their memory,” Rogozin wrote. “They consider an attempt on the safety of the Russian Deputy Prime Minister and members of the government delegation and the crew to be the norm, they don’t care about the gross violation of aviation security rules, but when their agent was grabbed, the whole chicken coop of the Young Donors clucked.”
He recalled another episode of the summer of 2017, when a passenger plane of the S7 company, on board of which the Russian delegation flew to Chisinau on a regular working visit at the invitation of Moldovan President Dodon, “was not allowed through the airspace of Romanians and Poles.”
