Robbery at Evenestraat: Residents Targeted After Failed Online Sale

Two residents of a house on Evenestraat in Maarheeze were robbed at the beginning of the evening on Monday. They had put something up for sale via a sales site, but the sale did not go as planned. The police report this.

The pair were threatened with a firearm. The two perpetrators eventually made off with the loot. According to a police spokesperson, no one was injured during the robbery.

The couple did not immediately call the police after the robbery, but went to family to tell them what had happened. The police were therefore only called later. “We therefore did not have a manhunt for the perpetrators, because they had fled for some time.”
