Two residents of a house on Evenestraat in Maarheeze were robbed at the beginning of the evening on Monday. They had put something up for sale via a sales site, but the sale did not go as planned. The police report this.
The pair were threatened with a firearm. The two perpetrators eventually made off with the loot. According to a police spokesperson, no one was injured during the robbery.
The couple did not immediately call the police after the robbery, but went to family to tell them what had happened. The police were therefore only called later. “We therefore did not have a manhunt for the perpetrators, because they had fled for some time.”
The police in Maarheeze are talking to local residents and witnesses. She is looking for camera images from the neighborhood.
According to a 112 correspondent on the scene, it was a mobile phone that was for sale. The police cannot say what the residents had for sale on the sales site.
