Abduction to Italy

Although many of Iveta’s fans are convinced that Josef abused Iveta herself, the widower completely denies this accusation. Allegedly, he was only bothered by her alcohol addiction, with which he tried to help her. But it was not as easy as it might seem. “At that time in Italy, the doctor told me that in order to bring her to the Czech Republic, she simply had to have a certain level of alcohol in her body, otherwise she would have a so-called withdrawal attack, which could even lead to death,” Rychtář recalls of Macura’s “abduction” of Iveta. “So on the way home I would buy white wine and mix it with her water. I gave her such a spray so that she had a minimum of alcohol there, but at the same time it did not endanger her life,” explained the widower.

She died sober!

But Rychtář’s strategy reportedly paid off and Bartošová at the end of her life she almost stopped drinking alcohol. Even the decision to end her life by jumping under a train is said to have been made sober. “During the autopsy, no consumption of alcohol or any drugs was detected. On the one hand, it gave me great satisfaction,” admitted Rychtář, who still hasn’t come to terms with Iveta’s death to this day. In addition, his wife committed suicide on his 56th birthday.
