The Mafia: Definitive Edition has been postponed. The Mafia remake will be released on September 25, 2020 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. So far, 2K Games and Hangar 13 have wanted to release Definitive Edition on August 28, 2020, but the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic has necessitated a shift.
The developers’ statement is: “Mafia: Definitive Edition will be released worldwide on September 25th. While we originally planned to release the game a month earlier, on August 28th, the timely finalization up to that point was affected by the ongoing global Covid-19 Pandemic more and more challenging and we didn’t want to compromise on the quality of the gaming experience. (…) From the beginning this was a passionate project for us, many of our developers have been involved in creating the original mafia, and all of us have decided to create an updated experience worthy of this timeless classic, thank you for your patience and understanding so that we can present Mafia: Definitive Edition in the best possible form to our fans worldwide. (…) We know Of course also that everyone is eager to see more, which is why we are looking forward to an extensive insight in just 2 weeks on July 22nd k in the gameplay of Mafia: Definitive Edition. “
