Al-Marsad newspaper: Nutrition consultant Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Othman revealed how to reduce high cholesterol in a natural way. Pointing out the need to avoid foods that contain cholesterol and eat foods that reduce cholesterol.

Foods to avoid

He said during a video clip he posted on his account on the X platform: “You must know that cholesterol is found in animal oils and fats only, and is not found in vegetable oils.”

He pointed out that the most foods that contain cholesterol and should be avoided are egg yolks, butter, grease, chicken skin, seafood such as seafood, shrimp, liver, and kidneys, fast food, canned food such as sausage and tuna in non-vegetable oil, and various animal sources that contain fat.

Foods that lower cholesterol

He added, there are foods that can lower cholesterol, such as vegetables, fruits, whole grains such as wheat, barley, corn, nuts, legumes, whether beans, lentils, or chickpeas, olive oil, sesame oil, onions, garlic, and fish.

He pointed out the necessity of exercising daily, such as walking.
