Recognizing the Rise of IPSO and Russian Propaganda against Ukraine

How to recognize a new IPSO

The hashtag “Lviv Fortress” is gaining popularity on the TikTok social network, under which users publish an ironic cover of the Antitila’s song “Bakhmut Fortress”.

In these videos, Lviv residents are accused of allegedly thinking that they are the only ones suffering because of the war and defending Ukrainian statehood.

“In some sarcastic videos, Lviv is credited with more destruction than Mariupol or Bakhmut. In some, the high prices for renting apartments are ridiculed,” the message says.

What else is said about it at the Center for Strategic Communications

In such a primitive way, the Russians are trying to incite hatred within Ukraine, setting up residents of different regions against each other.

“It is important to remember that we have only one enemy, and that is the Russian Federation. And there are no absolutely safe places in Ukraine and there won’t be until we drive Russian troops out of our lands,” the Center added.

Examples of Russian propaganda against Ukraine

Earlier it was reported that the network was spreading information that allegedly former US President Richard Nixon foresaw an American war in Ukraine. However, this is fake

A month ago, it became known that the Russian Federation resorted to another information-psychological operation against Ukraine. This time, it is spreading messages about allegedly “destroyed energy infrastructure.”
