Quarantine: what will the controls be like in the City and what access will be enabled?

According to NA, in the strict quarantine that will begin on July 1 and run until July 17, the Gendarmerie and the Federal Police will carry out control of accesses to the city of Buenos Aires on bridges and tolls, to reinforce the closure of some arteries by the Buenosairean Government.

The operation will include patrols on the motorways of the metropolitan area throughout all its routes and will add routes in different places with loudspeakers installed in the vehicles to emit recorded messages of awareness.

Sources from the Ministry of Security indicated that, in addition, both the City and the Province will deal “as a priority with the control of streets within the jurisdictions.”

In addition, the control work on trains and railway stations by the Federal Police and the Gendarmerie will continue, with the assignment of 1,200 troops to that task and under the instruction that public transportation will be exclusively for essential workers.

The security portfolio will carry out a strict control of the movement of people in the only 24 authorized activities and there will be retention of cars of those who circulate without the corresponding permits.

City

While, The City Government released a scheme detailing which accesses will be enabled to enter the Federal Capital and which security forces will be in charge of its control.

According to what has been established, there will be 9 accesses that will have controls from the City Police, Transit and Prevention agents, among which stand out Puente Alsina and the crossings of General Paz along Rivadavia and San Martín avenues.

On the other hand, the Buenos Aires authorities highlighted that 11 points will have controls by the security forces, such as the Pueyrredón Nuevo Bridge, the La Noria Bridge and the Ricardo Balbín Highway, among others.

There will also be 20 semi-enabled accesses with permanent presence of Buenos Aires security forces, 26 working pedestrian bridges and another 27 disabled.

Also Controls will be carried out on public transport users that will be dynamic and rotating in the different Transfer Centers; Metrobus corridors; income to the subway enabled; and on the bus lines that circulate within the City.
